Emily Whitson is a special education advocate and consultant with more than 15 years of experience supporting students with disabilities and their families across Tennessee. She brings a unique combination of professional expertise and lived experience, shaped by her role as a mother of three, including a daughter with Down syndrome. Emily’s work is rooted in a clear understanding of special education laws, regulations, and processes, as well as the practical realities families and schools face every day. She partners with families, educators, and organizations to ensure that the individualized education program (IEP) process leads to meaningful, student-centered outcomes.
